ROW FOR THOUGHT

The Dutch Atlantic Four realise how extremely fortunate they were able to undertake this adventure. Therefore they want that their crossing will contribute in giving other people a chance on a healthy and stable future. Since two of our oarsmen became father the year of their race they rowed for the future of the next generation. They have supported KIKA and donated an amount of € 11.000,= for child cancer research.

KIKA

Every year, more than 550 children in the Netherlands develop cancer. At this moment, 75% of these children are cured, but sadly, 1 in 4 still die from the disease. Cancer is the number 1 cause of death by disease among children. We have to do better, and we can do better. The Goal of Kika is to raise the percentage to 95%.

KiKa researches all forms of childhood cancer. KiKa raises funds for innovative research and other activities in the field of child cancer, aimed at reducing the pain caused by treatments, increasing the number of recoveries and enhancing the quality of life at a higher age. Furthermore, KiKa focuses on education about child cancer.
